Description: The value of tmnxNtpSysLeap indicates the two-bit code warning of an impending leap second to be inserted in the NTP timescale. This object can only be set when tmnxNtpSysStratum has a value of 1, primary reference.
What is tmnxNtpSysLeap?
Reports the two-bit NTP leap-second warning code: no warning, an upcoming 61-second minute, an upcoming 59-second minute, or an alarm meaning the clock isn't synchronized. An admin checks this ahead of a scheduled leap-second insertion to confirm the router's NTP stack is aware of and prepared for it, or reads a persistent 'alarm' value as a sign the system clock has lost synchronization entirely.
