Description:
The value of tmnxMobProfDiaConnTimer specifies the maximum amount of time the node attempts to reconnect to a diameter peer after a connection to the peer has been brought down due to a transport failure.
There are certain exceptions to this rule, such as peer which terminated the transport connection indicating that it does not wish to communicate. The configuration at peer level overrules the value configured at diameter-base level for the given peer.
A value of 0 means that no attempt will be made to re-establish the connection.
What is tmnxMobProfDiaConnTimer?
This configuration object specifies how many seconds (0-180) the system should attempt to reconnect to a failed Diameter peer before giving up. Diameter is a protocol used for carrier mobile network authentication and charging; when the connection drops due to transport failure, the system retries within this timer window. An operator adjusts this value to balance reconnection aggressiveness with network recovery time.
