vRtrMldIfGroupVer1HostTimer

Module: TIMETRA-MLD-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-MLD-MIB::vRtrMldIfGroupVer1HostTimer

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.46.2.3.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeInterval

Access: read-only

Description: The value of vRtrMldIfGroupVer1HostTimer indicates the time remaining until the local router will assume that there are no longer any MLD version 1 members on the IP subnet attached to this interface. Upon hearing any MLDv1 Membership Report, this value is reset to the group membership timer. While this time remaining is non-zero, the local router ignores any MLDv2 Leave messages for this group that it receives on this interface.

What is vRtrMldIfGroupVer1HostTimer?

Reports the time remaining before the router assumes no MLDv1 members remain on this interface's subnet for this group; hearing any MLDv1 report resets it to the group membership timer, and while it's nonzero the router ignores MLDv2 Leave messages for the group. An admin sees a persistently nonzero value here as a sign that legacy MLDv1 hosts are still present on that LAN segment.
