Description: The value of vRtrMldGenRobustCount specifies the allowed tuning for the expected packet loss on a subnet. If a subnet is expected to be lossy, the Robustness Variable may be increased. MLD is robust to (Robustness Variable-1) packet losses.
What is vRtrMldGenRobustCount?
Sets MLD's Robustness Variable (2-10, default 2), which tunes how many packet losses the protocol tolerates before assuming a listener or querier is gone; MLD is robust to (Robustness Variable - 1) losses. An admin increases this on a lossy subnet to avoid false membership timeouts caused by dropped MLD packets.
