This value specifies a target unicast MAC address for sending CFM packets to a remote MEP by MEPID; setting a unicast address restricts that MA to a maximum of one configured MEPID, while reverting to the default removes that restriction and reverts to the regular CCM multicast address; it can't be set to a multicast or broadcast address. An admin sets this to force CCM traffic to a specific remote MEP over unicast rather than multicast, useful in networks where multicast delivery to that peer isn't reliable. Because setting a unicast address caps the MA to one remote MEPID, this isn't used on associations that need to monitor multiple remote peers simultaneously.
