Description:
The value of tMacFilterParamsHighISID specifies the highest value of the 24 bit (0..16777215) service instance identifier for this service that matches this entry.
The default value of -1 indicates no ISID matching will be performed.
The value of this field can be equal to but not higher than the value of the tMacFilterParamsLowISID field.
Changing the value of this field might also change the value of tMacFilterParamsLowISID: A value of -1 will change the value of tMacFilterParamsLowISID to -1. Changing the value of this field from -1 to any other value will change the value of tMacFilterParamsLowISID to this same value.
Note that tMacFilterParamsLowISID and tMacFilterParamsHighISID can only be set if tMacFilterType is set to 'isid(1)'.
What is tMacFilterParamsHighISID?
This object specifies the highest 24-bit service instance identifier (ISID) value that will be matched by a MAC-layer filter for Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) services. The default value of -1 disables ISID-based filtering; valid ISIDs range from 0 to 16,777,215. A network operator uses this to set the upper boundary of a range of service instances that should be subject to specific filtering rules.
