Description: The value of the object tmnxDhcpsFoPartnerDownDelay specifies the minimum safe-time after the beginning of COMMUNICATIONS-INTERRUPTED state.

After the expiry of this time, the server enters the PARTNER-DOWN state.

What is tmnxDhcpsFoPartnerDownDelay?

Specifies the minimum safe-time (draft-ietf-dhc-failover section 9.4.2) that must elapse after entering COMMUNICATIONS-INTERRUPTED state before the server is allowed to transition to PARTNER-DOWN and start unilaterally serving the partner's addresses. Operators shorten this for faster takeover at the cost of more risk of duplicate address assignment if the partner wasn't actually down.
