Category: ATM and Broadband Access

Description: Manages Terawave DSL/ATM access platform alarm inventory, severity levels, and fault notification objects.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TERAWAVE-teraAlarm-MIB?

TERAWAVE-teraAlarm-MIB is a Terawave Communications (enterprise OID 4513, PON/broadband access vendor) proprietary MIB reporting chassis alarm history and active alarms. Its objects cover next alarm-sequence counters, a reset-alarm-history/reset-event action, a per-sequence next-alarm-sequence table, an alarm-reporting (trap-destination) table (IP address, community), and an active-alarm table (sequence, port, port type, card type, slot, physical port, alarm type/severity, time, message, time-in-seconds, network-element CLLI code). As a status/notification MIB it lets an administrator review currently active alarms with full slot/port/severity detail on a Terawave access platform. It is deployed on Terawave Communications broadband access platforms. Engineers can download the TERAWAVE-teraAlarm-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TERAWAVE-teraAlarm-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Terawave Communications broadband access platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator reviews teraActiveAlarmTable to confirm the slot, port, and severity of all currently active alarms on a Terawave access platform.
