What Is TERAWAVE-teraAccess-MIB?

TERAWAVE-teraAccess-MIB is a vendor-specific SNMP module for Terawave Communications' teraAccess DSL/ATM broadband access platform, covering administrative user-profile management for the device rather than subscriber traffic itself. It exposes a table of management user profiles with name, password, access level, and row status, i.e., configuration/security data for who can administer the access platform. Its monitoring relevance is mainly configuration-audit oriented: teraUserProfileStatus and teraUserProfileAccessLevel let an operator verify that the correct administrative accounts and privilege levels are provisioned on the box, which is a software/configuration-status concern rather than a hardware-health one. No explicit dependency on other standard MIBs is indicated for this profile-management portion, though the broader teraAccess product tree would pair with related Terawave line/interface MIBs for hardware-facing data. It is deployed in DSL/ATM access network environments where an NMS or provisioning system manages login credentials and access control across a fleet of teraAccess chassis, typically after a TERAWAVE-teraAccess-MIB download to load the profile-management objects into that system.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TERAWAVE-teraAccess-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • administrative user profile list
  • user profile access level
  • user profile row status
  • user account name

Supported Devices

  • Terawave teraAccess DSL/ATM access platform

Monitoring Examples

An operator would walk teraUserProfilesTable to enumerate configured management accounts via teraUserProfileIndex and teraUserProfileName, checking teraUserProfileAccessLevel to confirm no unauthorized elevated-privilege account has been added. teraUserProfileStatus would reveal whether a given profile row is active, notInService, or marked for deletion, useful for auditing stale admin accounts. teraUserProfileClear could be invoked to reset/remove a compromised or obsolete profile entry as part of a security remediation workflow.
