Category: Vendor-Specific Device Management, WAN and Serial Interfaces
Description: Manages T2514 device configuration, port state, and operational parameters.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is T2514-MIB?
The T2514-MIB is a vendor-specific SNMP module for the COMET System T2514, a pressure-sensing transmitter/data logger used in industrial and environmental monitoring installations. It exposes sensor readings, configurable alarm thresholds and hysteresis, timestamp data, and alarm/status messaging for one or more pressure channels. Its primary purpose is monitoring the hardware status of the pressure sensor itself — the current pressure value, whether it has crossed the configured low/high alarm limits, and when the last reading or alarm event occurred — effectively tracking sensor health and process conditions on the device. The MIB appears self-contained and does not depend on other enterprise or IETF standard MIBs beyond the base SNMP SMI framework. It is typically deployed where a Comet T2514 unit is polled by a central monitoring station to catch pressure excursions in real time. Engineers can download the T2514-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in T2514-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Comet System T2514 pressure sensor/data logger
- industrial environmental monitoring transmitter
Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll "pressure" (current reading) alongside "presslow" and "presshigh" (configured alarm thresholds) and "pressureHyst" (hysteresis band) to judge whether the sensor is within acceptable range; indexed variants "pressurei", "presslowi", "presshighi" indicate multiple pressure channels on the same unit. If "pressure" crosses outside the "presslow"/"presshigh" band, "alarmPressure" flips to an alarm state and "messageString" surfaces human-readable text, while "presstime"/"presstimei" record when the last reading or alarm occurred.
What Can Be Monitored
- current pressure reading
- low/high pressure alarm thresholds
- pressure hysteresis setting
- pressure alarm status
- last reading/alarm timestamp
- alarm message text
