Category: WAN and Serial Interfaces

Description: Manages combined T1/E1 interface options for framing, coding, and dual-mode operation.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is T1E1-OPT-MIB?

T1E1-OPT-MIB is a private MIB (enterprise OID 449, consistent with Cisco's cdx6500 product family from the Cisco DPT/Sync product line) defining the T1/E1 Virtual Port Mapping Table. Its table, keyed by port number, records port type, physical port number, timeslot number, DS0 rate, aggregate type, SO (Signal/Sub-Optical) port number, B-channel, local subscriber address, network-specific-call flag, and calling-party number type/plan. As a configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm a T1/E1 virtual port's timeslot and DS0-rate mapping matches the intended circuit provisioning. It is deployed on cdx6500-family T1/E1 access equipment. Engineers can download the T1E1-OPT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in T1E1-OPT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Codex (Motorola Codex) 6500-series multiplexer/data communications chassis

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cdx6500VPCTT1E1CfgTimeSlotNumber and cdx6500VPCTT1E1CfgDS0Rate to confirm a virtual T1/E1 port's timeslot mapping matches the circuit design before activating a new subscriber line.

What Can Be Monitored

  • T1/E1 virtual port timeslot/DS0-rate mapping
