t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetime

Module: T11-FC-SP-AUTHENTICATION-MIB

OID (symbolic): T11-FC-SP-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.176.1.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: T11FcSpLifetimeLeft

Access: read-write

Description: When the value of this object is non-zero, it specifies the default value of a lifetime, specified in units given by the corresponding instance of t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetimeUnits. This default lifetime is to be used for any Security Association that has no explicitly specified value for its lifetime.

An SA's lifetime is either the time interval or the number of passed bytes, after which the SA has to be terminated and (if necessary) replaced with a new SA.

If this object is zero, then there is no default value for lifetime.

What is t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetime?

The default lifetime (in units set by t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetimeUnits, default 28800 = 8 hours) applied to any Security Association that doesn't specify its own lifetime; a value of zero means there is no default and such SAs never expire on a timer.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.176.1.1.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> T11-FC-SP-AUTHENTICATION-MIB::t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetime.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.176.1.1.1.7.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> t11FcSpAuDefaultLifetime.1
