What Is T0510-MIB?

T0510-MIB is a vendor MIB from COMET System for its T0510-series network temperature (and humidity) monitoring sensor, a compact SNMP-enabled environmental probe. It exposes current temperature readings alongside configured low/high alarm thresholds, hysteresis settings, and last-reading timestamps, with an "i" (internal) suffix variant covering a second, internal probe channel including humidity. Its entire purpose is hardware environmental status monitoring: reporting live temperature (and humidity, for the internal channel) and flagging when readings cross configured thresholds, which is the core function of this class of standalone environmental sensor. It defines its own compact vendor object tree under the "comet" enterprise branch with no significant dependency on other MIBs. It is deployed as a standalone networked probe in server rooms, comms closets, and equipment cabinets to provide independent, out-of-band temperature/humidity alerting. Engineers can download the T0510-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in T0510-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • current temperature (external and internal probe)
  • current humidity (internal probe)
  • configured low/high temperature thresholds
  • alarm hysteresis settings
  • last reading timestamp

Supported Devices

  • COMET System T0510 networked temperature/humidity sensor

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll temperature and temperaturei to get the current external and internal-probe readings, comparing them against configured templow/temphigh and humiditylowi thresholds to detect an overheating or overcooled server room. The tempHyst/tempHysti hysteresis values determine how much the reading must fall back within range before an alarm clears, and temptime/temptimei record when each reading was last taken, letting an operator confirm the sensor is actively reporting rather than stalled.
