Category: Switch Management - Raisecom

Description: Manages Raisecom CCP cluster protocol configuration, member switches, and commander state.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SWITCH-CCP-MIB?

SWITCH-CCP-MIB is a proprietary Raisecom module for the CCP (Cluster Configuration Protocol) feature on Raisecom switches, covering cluster commander/member relationships alongside CPU packet-caching and mirroring controls. It exposes configuration and operational data such as CPU cache-packet capture settings, buffer size/status, auto-upload scheduling and counters, and mirror-to-CPU status. Its monitoring value centers on software/control-plane status: whether CPU packet caching (used for diagnostics such as capturing control-plane traffic) is enabled and functioning, buffer utilization, and whether captured packets are successfully auto-uploaded, which helps diagnose control-plane or cluster-management issues. It is a vendor-specific extension built on Raisecom's cluster-management architecture rather than a standards-based MIB. It is deployed on Raisecom switches organized into management clusters in carrier or enterprise access networks. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the SWITCH-CCP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SWITCH-CCP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Raisecom managed switch cluster

Monitoring Examples

An admin checks rcCpuCachePacketEnable and rcCpuCachePacketMirrorToCpuStatus to confirm CPU packet capture/mirroring is active on the intended rcCpuCachePacketPortList, then monitors rcCpuCachePacketBufferStatus and rcCpuCachePacketBufferSize for near-full buffer conditions. A stalled rcCpuCachePacketsAutoUploadCounter despite rcCpuCachePacketAutoUpload being enabled would indicate captured diagnostic packets are not being uploaded, hampering troubleshooting of the cluster's commander switch.

What Can Be Monitored

  • CPU packet-cache capture enable state
  • captured-packet port list
  • packet buffer size/status
  • auto-upload counter/status
  • mirror-to-CPU status
