Description: MIB for per-port performance thresholds, traffic statistics, and 802.1X/LLDP counters on Dasan SLE series network switches

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SLE-PERFORMANCEMGMT-MIB?

SLE-PERFORMANCEMGMT-MIB is a DASAN Networks vendor-specific MIB for their SLE-series network switches, providing per-port performance thresholding, traffic statistics, and 802.1X/LLDP-related counters. It exposes performance data organized by physical port, including configurable thresholds that can trigger alerts when traffic or error rates cross defined limits. In monitoring terms it is squarely a performance-counter and hardware-port-health module, letting an operator track per-port traffic volume, error/discard counters, and authentication (802.1X) and neighbor-discovery (LLDP) statistics to catch degrading link quality or misbehaving ports before they cause outages. It builds on IEEE 802.1X and IEEE 802.1AB (LLDP) standards for the authentication and topology-discovery counters it exposes. It is deployed by network operators running DASAN SLE switches who need port-level performance and threshold-based alerting. Engineers can download the SLE-PERFORMANCEMGMT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SLE-PERFORMANCEMGMT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • DASAN Networks SLE-series Ethernet switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll per-port traffic statistics and configured performance thresholds to see if a port's error rate or utilization has crossed its alarm threshold, and separately check 802.1X authentication counters to spot repeated failed logon attempts on an access port. No concrete sample objects were provided for this module, so specific table/object names cannot be confirmed, but a per-port statistics table combined with a threshold-configuration table is the expected pattern. A sustained threshold-crossing alert on a port's error counter would point to a failing cable or transceiver. This MIB is central to port-level performance and health monitoring on DASAN SLE switches.

What Can Be Monitored

  • per-port traffic statistics
  • performance threshold crossings
  • 802.1X authentication counters
  • LLDP neighbor statistics
