What Is SIAE-HITLESS-AGGRL1-MIB?
SIAE-HITLESS-AGGRL1-MIB is a proprietary MIB module from SIAE Microelettronica, an Italian manufacturer of microwave radio transmission equipment, and it extends that vendor's radio link aggregation group (RLAG) framework. It exposes configuration and status data for Level 1 hitless aggregation, a mechanism that pre-emptively removes a degrading radio link from an Ethernet aggregation bundle before it causes packet loss. Because the removal decision is driven by the link's adaptive coding and modulation (ACM) profile, the MIB is fundamentally a software/algorithm-status MIB used to monitor radio link health and the operational state of the hitless-switching estimator rather than classic hardware sensors. It builds on SIAE's own aggregation MIB structure and assumes an underlying RLAG/ACM implementation already present on the radio. It is deployed on SIAE microwave radio links carrying Ethernet traffic in backhaul and point-to-point transmission networks where seamless failover during fading events is required. Engineers can download the SIAE-HITLESS-AGGRL1-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SIAE-HITLESS-AGGRL1-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- SIAE Microelettronica microwave radio
- point-to-point radio backhaul link
Monitoring Examples
An operator would poll the per-link ACM profile threshold and current TX profile to see how close a radio link is to the configurable degradation boundary that triggers removal from the RLAG bundle. A sudden shift of the active profile below the configured threshold, followed by the link status estimator flagging removal, indicates fading or interference on that hop before any user traffic is actually dropped. Because sample_objects were not available for this module, the specific table and object names cannot be confirmed beyond the described profile/estimator behavior in the module description.
What Can Be Monitored
- radio link ACM/TX profile
- hitless aggregation removal status
- link degradation estimator state
- RLAG membership of Ethernet links
