Description: Registers product identity OIDs for the RtBrick disaggregated routing software product family.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RTBRICK-PRODUCTS?

RTBRICK-PRODUCTS is a vendor-specific MIB from RtBrick that registers sysObjectID values for specific hardware platforms certified to run RtBrick's disaggregated BRICK OS, such as the listed ECAS591654XK product identifier. It carries no live telemetry itself; its purpose is purely to map a device's reported sysObjectID to a known white-box hardware model. This identification step supports monitoring indirectly by letting an NMS determine exactly which underlying hardware platform is running RtBrick software, so it can apply the correct hardware-specific polling (chassis, ports, power) alongside RtBrick's own software/module status MIBs. It depends on the RTBRICK-MIB enterprise tree (rtbrickProducts branch) for its OID registration. It is deployed wherever RtBrick BRICK OS runs on certified white-box switches in disaggregated networking deployments. Engineers can download the RTBRICK-PRODUCTS file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RTBRICK-PRODUCTS. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • white-box switches/routers certified for RtBrick BRICK OS

Monitoring Examples

An NMS reading sysObjectID.0 from a device and matching it to rtbrickECAS591654XK can confirm the underlying white-box hardware model running RtBrick software, which then determines what hardware-specific polling (port counts, power supplies) is appropriate for that chassis. This product identification typically happens once at discovery time before ongoing status polling begins.
