Description: Registers product OIDs for the Rittal CMC III data center infrastructure monitoring product family.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RITTAL-CMC-III-PRODUCTS-MIB?

RITTAL-CMC-III-PRODUCTS-MIB is a Rittal MIB that solely registers product identity OIDs for the various device models in the Rittal CMC III (Computer Multi Control III) data center infrastructure monitoring product family. It does not define runtime data objects itself; instead it provides the sysObjectID-style product tree that lets a management system identify which specific CMC III product (e.g. processing unit, sensor unit, PDU) a given agent instance represents. Because CMC III units monitor environmental and power conditions such as temperature, humidity, and power supply status in the data center, correctly identifying the exact product via this MIB is a prerequisite for a management system to apply the right object/data model when polling for hardware health. It is a companion registration MIB to the main Rittal CMC III MIB module(s) that define the actual sensor and status objects. It is typically used wherever Rittal CMC III monitoring units are deployed in data center racks and cabinets. Engineers can download the RITTAL-CMC-III-PRODUCTS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RITTAL-CMC-III-PRODUCTS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

This module contains no sample objects and defines only product identity OIDs rather than runtime data, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe directly; a management system would use these OIDs purely to recognize which CMC III product model is present before polling that product's separate data MIB for actual sensor readings.
