Description: The attribute to control the down stream modulation. When this object is set to FALSE(2), the downstream transmitter will output a CW, or tonal signal at the tuned RF frequency.
What is rdnCmtsDSModulation?
Read-write boolean controlling whether this downstream RF channel transmits modulated DOCSIS data; setting it to FALSE makes the transmitter output an unmodulated CW/tonal carrier at the tuned frequency instead. Technicians use the FALSE (CW) mode as a test signal for RF sweep/alignment work on the plant rather than for carrying subscriber traffic.
