rbtwsRFDetectBlacklistedTrap

Module: RBTWS-TRAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): RBTWS-TRAP-MIB::rbtwsRFDetectBlacklistedTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.15.1.5.0.43

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: This trap is sent if an association, re-association or de-association request (packet) is detected from a blacklisted transmitter (identified by MAC: 'rbtwsRFDetectXmtrMacAddr'). If 'rbtwsBlacklistingCause' is 'configured', then 'rbtwsBlacklistingRemainingTime' will be zero, meaning indefinite time (depending on administrative actions on the Black List). Otherwise, 'rbtwsBlacklistingRemainingTime' will indicate the time in seconds until this transmitter's requests could be allowed.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RBTWS-TRAP-MIB::rbtwsRFDetectBlacklistedTrap
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.15.1.5.0.43

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:63718->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (190402790) 22 days, 0:53:47.90
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: RBTWS-TRAP-MIB::rbtwsRFDetectBlacklistedTrap

SNMPv3 example:

snmptrap -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3user -a SHA -A "AuthPass1" -x AES -X "PrivPass1" <manager> '' RBTWS-TRAP-MIB::rbtwsRFDetectBlacklistedTrap
