What Is RBTWS-AP-TC?
RBTWS-AP-TC is an Enterasys Networks (RoamAbout wireless) textual-conventions module defining shared enumerated types used across MIBs managing wireless Access Points (APs) from a central wireless switch/Access Controller (AC). As a pure TC module it defines no runtime object instances itself; it supplies the vocabulary (types/enumerations) that companion AP-management MIBs use to represent AP identity, state, and configuration. It underpins monitoring of AP hardware/software status indirectly, by providing the type definitions companion MIBs use for AP operational state, association status, and configuration parameters. It is explicitly dependent on the broader Enterasys wireless switch MIB suite, which references these conventions, so compiling the RBTWS-AP-TC MIB file successfully requires the companion Enterasys wireless switch MIBs to be loaded in the same session. Deployment context is Enterasys (RoamAbout) centralized wireless LAN deployments with an Access Controller managing multiple thin APs.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBTWS-AP-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Enterasys RoamAbout wireless Access Point
- Enterasys wireless switch/Access Controller
Monitoring Examples
This module defines no sample objects of its own (its sample_objects list is empty); it is a textual-conventions module honestly lacking pollable runtime data, and would only be relevant indirectly through the AP status/configuration objects defined in companion Enterasys wireless switch MIBs that import these type definitions.
