What Is RBN-IETF-OSPFV3-CAP?
RBN-IETF-OSPFV3-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module describing Ericsson SmartEdge (Redback) SNMP agent support related to OSPFv3 notifications, referencing the IETF OSPF-TRAP-MIB implementation. As a capabilities module it defines no monitorable data itself, only a declaration of which trap/notification objects and groups are implemented for a given SEOS release. It therefore has no direct role in reporting live OSPFv3 adjacency or LSA state -- that would come from the underlying OSPFv3 MIB -- but it scopes which OSPFv3-related fault/event notifications a management system can expect to receive. It is a conformance layer tied to the standards-track OSPF trap MIB. It is deployed as part of the SNMP agent on Ericsson SmartEdge/SSR routers running OSPFv3. Engineers can download the RBN-IETF-OSPFV3-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-IETF-OSPFV3-CAP. This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module with no runtime data objects (sample_objects is empty); it declares support for OSPFv3-related trap/notification objects rather than exposing OSPF adjacency or route state itself. There is no monitoring scenario to invent -- actual OSPFv3 operational data and traps would be sourced from the underlying OSPFv3 MIB this module declares conformance for.
