What Is RBN-IETF-ISIS-CAP?
RBN-IETF-ISIS-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module (Ericsson SmartEdge platforms) documenting the extent to which a SmartEdge/SEOS SNMP agent implements the standard IETF IS-IS routing protocol MIB. It carries no runtime routing data itself, only PRODUCT-RELEASE metadata identifying applicable SmartEdge product families (MSER, SM, SSR) and SEOS software version alongside supported object groups and variations from the IS-IS MIB. Its relevance to software status monitoring is indirect: it lets a network management system determine, ahead of polling, which IS-IS MIB objects (such as adjacency state or interface metrics) are actually available on a given SmartEdge release, rather than reporting operational IS-IS state itself. It has an explicit dependency on the standard IETF IS-IS MIB, whose conformance it documents. It is typically consulted as an RBN-IETF-ISIS-CAP reference during NMS onboarding or MIB compilation for SmartEdge routers running IS-IS, not polled at runtime for live data.

This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe from polling it; it exists solely to declare which parts of the standard IETF IS-IS MIB are implemented on a given Ericsson SmartEdge SEOS release and product family.
