What Is RADLAN-RCLI-MIB?
RADLAN-RCLI-MIB is a private Marvell/Radlan switch MIB managing remote CLI (RCLI) access configuration, covering authentication passwords for different privilege levels and session timeout behavior. It is primarily a security/configuration MIB rather than one exposing hardware telemetry, with objects for user, enable, and config-level passwords plus a session inactivity timer. Its software-status relevance is limited to configuration state and a file-action trigger object rather than ongoing runtime counters, so it is used more for pushing and verifying access policy than for monitoring device health. No explicit dependency on other MIBs is apparent from the available data. It is deployed to manage remote CLI/telnet-style access credentials and timeout policy on Marvell-based switches, typically after a RADLAN-RCLI-MIB download to load the module into a MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADLAN-RCLI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
What Can Be Monitored
- configured CLI/enable/config passwords
- CLI session inactivity timer
- triggered file action status
Supported Devices
- Marvell/Radlan-based managed switch
Monitoring Examples
rlRCliUserPassword, rlRCliEnablePassword, and rlRCliConfigPassword configure the authentication passwords required at each CLI privilege level, while rlRCliTimer sets the session inactivity timeout. rlRcliFileAction can trigger a file-related operation (e.g., saving configuration) through the RCLI subsystem. An admin would primarily use this MIB to push and verify credential and timeout policy rather than monitor ongoing runtime status, since it exposes mostly configuration write-objects.
