Description: The capabilities advertised in the Spare-Pair POE TLV. The bit 'supported(0)' indicates that the device supports Spare Pair POE. The bit 'detectionClassificationRequired(1)' indicates that the device requires detection/classification on the spare-pair. The bit 'desiredState(2)' indicates whether the PD device desires power on the spare pair. The bit 'operationalState(3)' indicates whether the PSE device supplies power on the spare pair.
What is rlCdpTlvSparePairPoECapabilities?
This read-only bitmask reports the spare-pair (4-wire) PoE capabilities this local port advertises in its own outgoing CDP TLV: whether it supports spare-pair PoE (bit 0), requires detection/classification on the spare pair (bit 1), desires power on the spare pair (bit 2), or is supplying power on the spare pair (bit 3). Admins compare it against the neighbor's advertised capabilities to confirm both ends agree on using the spare-pair PoE mechanism. For example, this port advertising the 'supported' and 'desiredState' bits tells the admin it's asking its upstream neighbor for additional power over the spare wire pairs.
