What Is QLASP-Config-MIB?
QLASP-Config-MIB is a Broadcom (originally QLogic/Alacritech-lineage) proprietary MIB for configuring BASP (Broadcom Advanced Server Program) NIC teaming on server network adapters. It belongs to the NIC-teaming/link-aggregation software area on server-class network interface cards. It exposes configuration data describing team definitions, team type (e.g. failover, load-balancing, or 802.3ad-style aggregation), and which physical NIC ports are assigned as members of each team. Its monitoring value is primarily software/configuration status of the teaming driver -- confirming team membership and type are correctly applied -- rather than raw port link-state, which is typically read from the standard IF-MIB for the underlying physical adapters. It has an implicit dependency on IF-MIB ifIndex values to identify the physical NIC ports that participate in each configured team. It is typically deployed on Windows or Linux servers using Broadcom/QLogic multi-port NICs where NIC teaming provides link redundancy or aggregated throughput. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the QLASP-Config-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in QLASP-Config-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- server NIC with Broadcom/QLogic BASP teaming driver
Monitoring Examples
No sample_objects or module description text were captured for this MIB, so a concrete object-name monitoring scenario cannot be honestly constructed without inventing names. In general terms consistent with BASP teaming MIBs, an administrator would expect a team configuration table keyed by team index, listing team type and member adapter indices, polled to verify a failover team still has all its expected member NICs present after a cable pull or NIC failure.
