What Is RBN-LAG-MIB?

RBN-LAG-MIB is an Ericsson (Redback Networks) proprietary MIB configuring MC-LAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation), which lets a link aggregation group span two physically separate chassis for redundancy. Its MC-LAG table records each group's name, ID, system priority/MAC, revertive-mode and hold-timer settings, operational state and last switchover time/reason, while a constituent-port table tracks each member port's slot/port/priority and up/down state, plus switchover notification traps. As a configuration/protocol-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm which chassis is currently active in an MC-LAG pair and investigate the cause of a recent switchover. It is deployed on Ericsson (Redback Networks) SmartEdge/SSR platforms. Engineers can download the RBN-LAG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
