What Is PEM-STANDARD-TC?

PEM-STANDARD-TC is an Ericsson MIB defining textual conventions for the Power Equipment Module (PEM) standard used in Ericsson Diax telecom power systems, specifically an Alarm data type aligned with ITU-T alarm conventions. Being a textual-convention-only module, it does not itself expose any tables, counters, or instantiable objects - it defines a shared data type that other Ericsson PEM MIBs import for representing alarm state. Because there is nothing to poll directly here, it does not itself report hardware status like power supply or rectifier faults; rather, the alarm-state encoding it defines is what downstream PEM MIBs use to represent those faults. It explicitly aligns with and depends on the IANA-ITU-ALARM-TC and ITU-ALARM-MIB standard textual conventions. Anyone opening the PEM-STANDARD-TC MIB file directly will find only this single Alarm textual convention, since it is typically distributed as a supporting/imported module alongside other Ericsson Diax PEM MIBs in telecom power-plant management deployments.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in PEM-STANDARD-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Ericsson Diax Power Equipment Module (PEM) telecom power systems

Monitoring Examples

This module defines only a textual convention (an Alarm type aligned with ITU-T alarm conventions) with no tables or runtime objects, so there is no concrete monitoring poll scenario to honestly describe for it; other Ericsson PEM MIBs use this Alarm type to represent actual power-equipment fault states.
