This read-only value reports the status of an ONU EPROM software version update, as carried in this NMS EPON trap, distinct from the main firmware update status. An admin uses this to track EPROM-level firmware updates on the ONU separately from the main software version update, since the two can be updated independently. For example, seeing this trap object report success while the main version update status reports failure would tell the admin the EPROM update completed even though the main firmware push did not.
