NETASQ-SMI-MIB

Establishes the NETASQ enterprise SMI OID tree structure and module namespace.

NETASQ-SMI-MIB is the Structure of Management Information module for NETASQ (a French UTM/firewall vendor later acquired by Stormshield), establishing the enterprise OID tree and namespace under which all other NETASQ MIBs register their objects. It does not itself define runtime monitoring data; instead it declares top-level branches such as product properties, VPN, users, and hosts that child MIBs populate with actual counters and status objects. As a namespace/registration module it has no direct role in reporting uptime, temperature, or CPU load, but it is a structural prerequisite for any NETASQ device monitoring, since dependent MIBs (VPN, user session, host inventory modules) attach beneath it. It depends on the IANA-assigned enterprise number allocation and standard SNMPv2-SMI conventions, and because NETASQ's own site is long gone, administrators supporting a Stormshield-migrated deployment often need a NETASQ-SMI-MIB download from a third-party MIB archive to compile the dependent modules. It is deployed wherever a NETASQ/Stormshield firewall or UTM appliance is polled via SNMP, serving purely as the organizational root for that vendor's MIB family.

This module is a pure OID-tree definition (netasq, netasqMIB, ntqProductProperty, ntqVPN, ntqUsers, ntqHosts as branch identifiers) rather than a source of pollable runtime data, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe from this module alone. Actual VPN tunnel counts, user session details, or host status would be found in the child MIBs registered under ntqVPN, ntqUsers, and ntqHosts. An admin would use this MIB only to resolve OID prefixes when configuring an SNMP manager against a NETASQ device.
