Description: A count of frames for which transmission on a particular interface fails due to excessive collisions.
What is etherXTxExcessiveCollisions?
This is a running count of frames that failed to transmit on an InReach Ethernet interface because they hit the maximum allowed number of collisions. Admins treat a nonzero and growing count here as a serious sign of congestion or a wiring or duplex problem on that port, since these frames are dropped outright. If etherXTxExcessiveCollisions starts incrementing on an InReach port, the admin should check for a duplex mismatch or overloaded segment there.
