Description:
This object is the number of octets contained in valid frames that have been received on this port in which the destination was the broadcast address ffffffffffff. By attaching a gauge to this counter one can monitor the port for broadcast storms. Action can then be taken to automatically recover network normal operation.
The approximate minimum time for rollover of this counter is 58 minutes.
