Description: Juniper Networks conformance statements for the virtual router management framework on Juniper E-series edge routers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Juniper-Router-CONF?
Juniper-Router-CONF is a Juniper Networks AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module describing what the SNMP agent's Router component supports on Juniper E-series products, rather than a source of runtime data itself. It documents which object groups and compliance statements from the associated Router/virtual-router MIB(s) the agent implements. As an agent-capabilities module it has no monitorable data objects of its own — its purpose is purely to declare implementation conformance for management tools, so there are no hardware or software status values (uptime, temperature, CPU, etc.) to poll here. It exists specifically to reference and qualify the router/virtual-router management MIB(s) it describes conformance for. It is used at NMS integration time to determine feature support, not during routine monitoring. Engineers can download the Juniper-Router-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-Router-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Juniper E-series router (JUNOSe)
Monitoring Examples
This is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module, not a source of runtime data objects; it has no polled counters, gauges, or status values to monitor and no realistic monitoring scenario to describe.
