Description: Defines conformance statements for IGMP multicast group management on Juniper Networks E-series platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Juniper-IGMP-CONF?
Juniper-IGMP-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module from Juniper Networks, covering the IGMP multicast group management component of the SNMP agent on Juniper E-series broadband routers. Rather than defining data objects, it declares which parts of the standard IGMP MIB the Juniper agent implements and how, so management stations know what is safely queryable. It does not itself expose runtime hardware or software status such as uptime, temperature, or CPU load, since conformance modules describe implementation scope rather than live device state. It depends implicitly on the IETF IGMP-STD-MIB (or a Juniper equivalent) whose object definitions it constrains. It is used during network management system integration and capability negotiation rather than in day-to-day polling. Engineers can download the Juniper-IGMP-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-IGMP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This module contains no monitorable objects of its own; it only lists which groups and variations of the underlying IGMP MIB (e.g. igmpInterfaceTable, igmpCacheTable) the Juniper E-series agent supports. A management application would consult it once during onboarding to determine which IGMP objects it can safely poll on this platform, rather than polling the conformance module itself. There is no realistic ongoing monitoring scenario tied directly to this MIB.
