Category: Vendor: Juniper
Description: Defines conformance statements for COPS (Common Open Policy Service) protocol management on Juniper Networks E-series platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Juniper-COPS-CONF?
Juniper-COPS-CONF is a Juniper Networks agent capabilities (conformance) module for the Common Open Policy Service (COPS) protocol management component on Juniper E-series platforms, declaring which COPS-related MIB objects the SNMP agent supports. As an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module it contains no runtime managed objects and exposes no operational or status data itself. It therefore has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status of a device. It is inherently dependent on the corresponding COPS protocol MIB whose supported object set it documents. It is used by management tooling to verify SNMP agent feature compliance on Juniper E-series routers rather than for active monitoring. Engineers can download the Juniper-COPS-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Juniper-COPS-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Juniper E-series broadband access routers
Monitoring Examples
This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects (no sample objects were provided), so there is no monitoring scenario; it only declares which objects of the associated COPS protocol MIB the SNMP agent implements.
