isnsSrvrInstCntrlNodeAuth
Module: ISNS-MGMT-MIB
OID (symbolic): ISNS-MGMT-MIB::isnsSrvrInstCntrlNodeAuth
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.4371.1.1.1.1.15
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: Control Nodes can be configured to receive management SCNs
indicating network updates, including information on
modification to DDs and DDSs. This managed object indicates
if SNMP has access to control node information and, if it
does, which type of storage nodes can register with the
server instance as a control node. Possible values for this
managed object are:
Value Description
--------- ----------------
anyNode Any storage node MAY register as a control
node
viewNodes Specified nodes MAY register as control
nodes, SNMP view only
noSnmpAccess Control node information is not accessible
via SNMP
If only specified nodes are allowed to register as control
nodes, and SNMP is allowed to modify the list of control
nodes, then they SHALL be listed in the
isnsCntlNodeIscsiTable and isnsCntlNodeFcPortTable.
If SNMP is not allowed to view or modify the list of control
nodes, then this managed object SHALL be set to
noSnmpAccess.What is isnsSrvrInstCntrlNodeAuth?
Controls whether SNMP has visibility into control-node information at all, and if so whether any storage node may register as a control node or only a specific approved list; possible values are anyNode, viewNodes, or noSnmpAccess. Admins set this to viewNodes and populate isnsCntlNodeIscsiTable/isnsCntlNodeFcPortTable when they want to restrict which nodes can receive management SCNs, or to noSnmpAccess to hide control-node data from SNMP entirely.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.4371.1.1.1.1.15 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ISNS-MGMT-MIB::isnsSrvrInstCntrlNodeAuth
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.2.1.10.4371.1.1.1.1.15.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ISNS-MGMT-MIB::isnsSrvrInstCntrlNodeAuth.1
