Category: Network Interfaces, Vendor: Intel

Description: Intel LAN adapter version 2 MIB providing enhanced SNMP monitoring objects for Intel Ethernet NIC performance and diagnostics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS-MIB-2?

INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS-MIB-2 is an Intel(R) Corporation proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 343) reporting network-adapter inventory, driver detail, and traffic statistics on Windows/NetWare hosts running Intel LAN adapters. Its objects cover company/description/operating-system/MIB-version/agent-extension-version and overall status, a generic-adapters-attributes table (index, name, type, driver-load status), a drivers-attributes table (driver name/info/version/path/date/size, adapter IP address), and a traffic-statistics table (received packets, and further counters). As a hardware/performance MIB it lets an administrator confirm which NIC driver version is loaded and watch per-adapter traffic on an Intel-adapter-equipped host. It is deployed on hosts with Intel LAN adapters and the Intel SNMP agent. Engineers can download the INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS-MIB-2 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INTEL-LAN-ADAPTERS-MIB-2. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Hosts with Intel LAN adapters (Intel SNMP agent)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks adapterDriverVersion and adapterDriverLoadStatus to confirm the correct NIC driver is loaded on a host with an Intel LAN adapter.

What Can Be Monitored

  • adapter driver version and traffic statistics
