Description: Incognito Software MIB providing SNMP management objects for DHCP/BOOTP server and subscriber management operations.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is INCOGNITO-MIB?

INCOGNITO-MIB is the root enterprise MIB module for Incognito Software Inc., a vendor of DHCP/BOOTP server and IP address/subscriber management software, registering the company's private OID subtree with IANA. As provided, it defines only the top-level enterprise node and carries no runtime data objects of its own — actual DHCP lease, subscriber, or server-status data would live in separate, more specific Incognito MIB modules built underneath this root. Consequently it cannot be used directly to monitor hardware or software status such as uptime, CPU load, or service health; its role is purely structural, anchoring Incognito's OID namespace. It has no functional dependency on other MIBs beyond the standard IANA enterprise-numbering convention (SNMPv2-SMI). In deployment, this module is present mainly so that SNMP tools can resolve OIDs under the Incognito enterprise branch to the vendor name, with actual monitoring handled by other Incognito-specific MIBs. Engineers can download the INCOGNITO-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in INCOGNITO-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Incognito Software DHCP/BOOTP server platform
  • subscriber/IP address management server

Monitoring Examples

This module defines only the root of the Incognito Software enterprise OID subtree with no accompanying data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe here — any DHCP/subscriber-management telemetry would come from other, more specific Incognito MIB modules layered underneath this root.
