Description: HP/Compaq MIB for ICF (Intelligent Cabling Framework) eTwist devices providing 100VG-AnyLAN network management objects.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ICF-ETWIST?

ICF-ETWIST is a Hewlett Packard Company (Network Infrastructure Solutions, enterprise OID 11, built on HP-ICF-GENERIC-RPTR/SNMP-REPEATER-MIB) proprietary MIB for the HP Integrated Communication Facility (ICF) product line's Ethernet Twisted-pair hub/repeater devices. Its objects cover last-set-error, password, reset/self-test actions, a semaphore, poll response, announce/map address/state/port, IP subnet mask, event notifications (IP/IPX), an event table (index, arm state, time since occurrence), and an event-threshold table (index, arm state, monitored object, threshold, hysteresis, time interval, time since occurrence). As a status/configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm repeater port event/threshold configuration on an HP ICF Ethernet twisted-pair hub. It is deployed on HP Integrated Communication Facility (ICF) Ethernet hub/repeater equipment. Engineers can download the ICF-ETWIST file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ICF-ETWIST. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • HP Integrated Communication Facility (ICF) Ethernet hub/repeater equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks evtThresholdTable and evtTable to confirm which repeater event thresholds triggered on an HP ICF Ethernet hub.

What Can Be Monitored

  • repeater port event/threshold configuration and occurrences
