Description: Huawei voice user MIB for managing VoIP subscriber profiles, phone numbers, and user authentication on IAD gateways.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HUAWEI-VOICEUSER-MIB?
HUAWEI-VOICEUSER-MIB is a Huawei-proprietary SNMP module for Huawei's voice-over-IP access gateways (IADs) that manages voice subscriber accounts, covering user profiles, assigned phone numbers, and authentication credentials for VoIP lines. It exposes subscriber-level configuration and status objects rather than call-detail records, letting an NMS see which lines are provisioned and how they are configured. Operators use it to monitor the software-level status of voice subscriber lines - whether a user's line is registered/authenticated correctly and provisioned as expected - which helps diagnose a subscriber who cannot make or receive calls due to a registration or authentication failure on the gateway. It complements Huawei's voice/media gateway MIBs and general telephony standards (conceptually related to the IETF VoIP MIB family) that handle call signaling and media status. It is typically deployed on Huawei Integrated Access Devices (IADs) and softswitch-connected voice gateways in carrier and enterprise VoIP access networks. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-VOICEUSER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-VOICEUSER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Huawei VoIP Integrated Access Device (IAD)
- Huawei voice gateway
Monitoring Examples
No object names were supplied for this MIB in the sample set, so specific identifiers cannot be quoted; based on the description, an operator would be expected to poll a per-line subscriber table indexed by port/line to confirm a user's authentication state and provisioned number match expectations when a subscriber reports being unable to register.
What Can Be Monitored
- voice subscriber provisioning status
- assigned phone number mapping
- user authentication status
- voice line configuration
