Description: Huawei pseudowire textual conventions MIB defining common data types used across Huawei pseudowire management modules.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-PW-TC-MIB?

HUAWEI-PW-TC-MIB is a Huawei enterprise MIB that defines only Textual Conventions and OBJECT-IDENTITY values used across other Huawei pseudowire (PW) management MIB modules, rather than containing runtime data objects itself. It supports Huawei's pseudowire (PW) service implementations, which carry Layer 2 traffic (e.g., Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay) over MPLS or IP tunnels. As a pure type-definition module it has no monitorable status objects of its own—no uptime, temperature, counters, or fault state—its entire purpose is to standardize data types (such as PW type or encapsulation enumerations) referenced by the actual pseudowire monitoring MIBs. It is explicitly a dependency for other Huawei PW-related MIB modules, which import these textual conventions to ensure consistent typing. It is deployed alongside those pseudowire MIBs on Huawei MPLS/PW-capable routers and switches, never standalone for monitoring purposes. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-PW-TC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-PW-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei MPLS/pseudowire-capable router or switch

Monitoring Examples

This module is a Textual-Conventions/OBJECT-IDENTITY-only MIB with no runtime data objects (no sample objects were provided), so there is no monitoring scenario to describe honestly; its role is purely to supply shared type definitions imported by other Huawei pseudowire MIB modules that do expose pollable pseudowire status and statistics.
