Description: Huawei ESAP hot standby MIB for managing hot-standby redundancy for embedded service application processor modules.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HUAWEI-ESAP-HOT-STANDBY-MIB?
HUAWEI-ESAP-HOT-STANDBY-MIB is a Huawei Technologies proprietary MIB (based on draft-grall-huawei-ar-hot-standby-mib-01) configuring stateful hot-standby (HSB) redundancy between two Huawei AR routers. Its objects cover a basic-events table (index, time, description), a service table (service ID, local/peer address and port, keepalive count/interval, status), a group table (group ID, associated VRRP ID/interface/status, service ID, enable flag, status), and a hot-standby-status notification. As a configuration/status/notification MIB it lets an administrator confirm which VRRP group is bound to a hot-standby service and get alerted on a state change. It is deployed on Huawei Technologies AR router hot-standby pairs. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-ESAP-HOT-STANDBY-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-ESAP-HOT-STANDBY-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Huawei Technologies AR router hot-standby pairs
Monitoring Examples
An administrator receives an hwEsapHsbStatusNotification and checks hwHsbGroupStatus to confirm a hot-standby failover completed correctly between two Huawei AR routers.
What Can Be Monitored
- hot-standby service/group status and failover notifications
