Description: HUAWEI-ENT-VOICE-COMMON-MIB module
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HUAWEI-ENT-VOICE-COMMON-MIB?
HUAWEI-ENT-VOICE-COMMON-MIB is a Huawei-proprietary MIB for Huawei enterprise voice/VoIP gateway platforms that defines global parameters for managing voice-over-IP functionality across the device. Its data includes global VOIP configuration settings as well as DSP (digital signal processor) statistics, reflected in the hwEntDspStatisticsTable, which tracks the voice-processing hardware resources used for call handling. This makes it directly useful for monitoring hardware/software voice-processing health: DSP channel utilization, error or failure counts on voice-processing resources, and overall VOIP subsystem configuration state, which can reveal capacity exhaustion or hardware faults affecting call quality. It commonly operates alongside SIP or voice-gateway-specific MIBs (such as HUAWEI-ENT-VOICE-SIPAG-MIB) that provide the call-signaling layer on top of the DSP resources this MIB tracks. It is deployed on Huawei enterprise voice gateways and IP-PBX/VoIP access platforms where digital signal processing resources handle codec transcoding and voice-channel processing for a business's telephony traffic. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-ENT-VOICE-COMMON-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-ENT-VOICE-COMMON-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Huawei enterprise voice gateways
- Huawei IP-PBX/VoIP access platforms
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll the hwEntDspStatisticsTable to check DSP resource utilization and error counters, revealing whether the voice gateway's DSP channels are approaching capacity or experiencing processing errors during peak call volume. Rising error counts or a DSP utilization value near its maximum in this table would indicate voice-quality degradation risk or a need to add DSP capacity. Global VOIP configuration objects in this MIB would also be checked to confirm the gateway's overall voice-processing settings are as expected.
What Can Be Monitored
- DSP channel statistics and utilization
- DSP processing errors
- global VOIP configuration parameters

RFC description
Vendor-private MIB for Huawei enterprise voice systems managing common VoIP configuration, monitoring, and call statistics.
Start monitoring Huawei enterprise voice gateway / IP-PBX platform (VoIP global params, DSP resources) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
