Description: Huawei bulk statistics collection MIB for configuring periodic data collection, file transfer, and statistics schema management on Huawei devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-BULKSTAT-MIB?

HUAWEI-BULKSTAT-MIB is a Huawei management-plane MIB that lets an operator configure scheduled bulk collection of SNMP performance data and manage the resulting output files for transfer off the device. Rather than exposing device metrics directly, it covers the categories of collection-job scheduling, statistics-schema definition, and generated-file/transfer management. Monitoring this MIB is mostly about software/process health of the collection framework itself: whether a scheduled bulk-stats job ran, whether it completed successfully, and whether the resulting file was produced and is ready for pickup, which is analogous to checking a batch job's status rather than a hardware sensor. It works alongside the counter-bearing MIBs it is configured to sample (such as IF-MIB or vendor performance MIBs) and often ties into file-transfer mechanisms like FTP/TFTP configured elsewhere on the device. It is used on Huawei routers and switches where an NMS wants to offload heavy periodic polling into device-side scheduled exports instead of live SNMP GETs. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the HUAWEI-BULKSTAT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-BULKSTAT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei routers
  • Huawei switches

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would create a bulk-statistics schema and schedule via this MIB's objects, then poll the job/file status objects to confirm a collection cycle completed and produced a bulk data file; if the status shows a failed job or no new file appears after the scheduled interval, that signals a collection or storage problem on the device.

What Can Be Monitored

  • bulk statistics job/schedule status
  • statistics schema configuration
  • generated bulk file status
  • file transfer success or failure
