Description: Huawei BRAS service configuration interface MIB for mapping service profiles to subscriber-facing interfaces on broadband access servers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HUAWEI-BRAS-SRVCFGINTERFACE-MIB?

HUAWEI-BRAS-SRVCFGINTERFACE-MIB is a Huawei-proprietary MIB on the BRAS platform that manages the mapping between service configuration profiles (such as QoS, access control, or accounting policies) and the subscriber-facing interfaces they are applied to. It exposes configuration objects binding service profiles to specific logical or physical interfaces on the BRAS. Its monitoring value is mainly around configuration/service-binding status, letting an operator confirm that the correct service policy is applied to a given subscriber interface and detect a misapplied or missing binding that could cause a subscriber to lose expected service treatment; it is less about hardware fault telemetry and more about software/service-configuration status. It is part of the same Huawei BRAS management family as HUAWEI-BRAS-L2TP-MIB and related subscriber-access MIBs. It is deployed on Huawei BRAS platforms in ISP broadband access networks where per-subscriber service profiles are enforced at the interface level. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-BRAS-SRVCFGINTERFACE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-BRAS-SRVCFGINTERFACE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei BRAS (Broadband Remote Access Server)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll a service-interface binding table (modeled as hwSrvCfgIfTable, though not confirmed from source) to verify that a given subscriber-facing interface has the correct service profile bound to it, and would investigate a subscriber's service issue by checking whether the expected binding is present or has silently reverted to a default. No sample_objects were provided for this module, so exact object names are inferred rather than confirmed from source.

What Can Be Monitored

  • service profile to interface binding
  • subscriber interface service configuration
  • service configuration status
