Description: Huawei BRAS Remote User Interface MIB providing objects for remote user access management and console session control on BRAS equipment.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HUAWEI-BRAS-RUI-MIB?
HUAWEI-BRAS-RUI-MIB is a Huawei enterprise MIB for its Broadband Remote Access Server (BRAS) product line, covering the Remote User Interface (RUI) subsystem that manages console/remote administrative access to the BRAS. It would expose objects related to remote login sessions, console access control, and administrative user session state on the BRAS chassis. Its monitoring role centers on software/management-plane status — tracking active remote sessions, login/logout events, and access control state — rather than traffic or hardware metrics. As a BRAS-family MIB it depends on Huawei's broader BRAS device and system MIB framework for chassis and interface indexing. It is deployed in Huawei broadband access networks (BRAS/edge routers used by ISPs for PPPoE/DHCP subscriber termination) where operators track and control administrative console access for security and operational auditing. Engineers can download the HUAWEI-BRAS-RUI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HUAWEI-BRAS-RUI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Huawei BRAS (Broadband Remote Access Server)
Monitoring Examples
No object names were captured for this module (the module description is only a placeholder), so specific OIDs cannot be cited; based on the short description, an admin would typically poll for active remote console sessions and session state to detect unauthorized or stale administrative logins on the BRAS.
What Can Be Monitored
- active remote console sessions
- session login/logout state
- administrative access control status
