hpicfOspfv3SetTrap

Module: HP-ICF-OSPFV3-MIB

OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-OSPFV3-MIB::hpicfOspfv3SetTrap

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.44.1.16.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: A four-octet string serving as a bit map for
the trap events defined by the OSPFv3 traps. This
object is used to enable or disable specific
OSPFv3 traps where a 1 in the bit field represents
enabled. The right-most bit (least significant)
represents trap 0.

What is hpicfOspfv3SetTrap?

A four-octet bitmap enabling or disabling specific OSPFv3 traps, where a 1 bit enables the corresponding trap (e.g. 0x00001 for OSPFV3_IF_STATE_CHANGE, 0x00004 for OSPFV3_NBR_STATE_CHANGE, up to 0xE00FF for OSPFV3_ALL_TRAPS) as documented in the object's own bitmap table. An admin writes a specific combination here, rather than all traps, to receive only the OSPFv3 notification types relevant to their monitoring, such as interface and neighbor state changes.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.44.1.16.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-OSPFV3-MIB::hpicfOspfv3SetTrap

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.44.1.16.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-OSPFV3-MIB::hpicfOspfv3SetTrap.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.44.1.16.1.1.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hpicfOspfv3SetTrap.1
