Description: This object allows the user to specify the mode of OpenFlow operation for an instance. In active mode, new flows get redirected to the OpenFlow controller. In passive mode, new flows are not sent to the OpenFlow controller.This object is applicable only for an OpenFlow version 1.0 instance.
What is hpicfOpenFlowInstanceMode?
This setting chooses whether an OpenFlow 1.0 instance actively redirects new flows to the controller ('active', the default) or leaves new flows alone without consulting the controller ('passive'). An admin would switch to passive mode to temporarily stop sending flow-setup requests to the controller without fully disabling the instance.
