Description: Hitachi PNNI (Private Network-to-Network Interface) MIB for ATM PNNI routing protocol management.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is HJ-PNNI-MIB?

HJ-PNNI-MIB is a legacy Harris and Jeffries, Inc. (enterprise OID 603, built on the standard PNNI-MIB) proprietary MIB extending PNNI (Private Network-to-Network Interface) ATM routing with diagnostic/caching controls. Its objects cover a debug-logging file name/mask, address round-robin flag and neighbor-port-use setting, cache-timer frequency/age/recent-interval/entry-count/max-paths/max-entries/enable, an allow-LGN-path-loops flag, a per-node table (logging mask, dynamic port-ID range, SVCC cell transfer delay/delay variation/loss ratio, ABR initial cell rate/buffer exposure/rate increase-decrease factors), and an interface table. As a configuration/diagnostic MIB it lets an administrator tune PNNI route-caching behavior and SVCC QoS parameters on legacy Harris and Jeffries ATM switching equipment. It is deployed on legacy Harris and Jeffries ATM switching equipment (PNNI). Engineers can download the HJ-PNNI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HJ-PNNI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy Harris and Jeffries ATM switching equipment (PNNI)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks hjPnniCacheMaxEntries and hjPnniNodeSvccAbrInitialCellRate to tune PNNI route caching and ABR rate settings on legacy Harris and Jeffries ATM equipment.

What Can Be Monitored
