Description: HH3C MIB for time range (TRNG) configuration defining time-based access control policies on H3C devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is HH3C-TRNG-MIB?
HH3C-TRNG-MIB is an H3C-proprietary SNMP module for configuring time ranges (TRNG) on H3C devices, i.e., absolute and periodic (recurring) time windows that other features such as ACLs or QoS policies can reference to apply time-based access control. It is primarily a configuration MIB rather than a runtime-monitoring one, exposing objects to define start/end times, days of week, and recurrence patterns for named time ranges. Because no concrete sample objects were provided, its monitoring value is limited: it does not report hardware health, CPU/memory, or fault conditions, but an NMS could still poll it to verify that a scheduled time-range definition is correctly provisioned and currently active or inactive on the device. It has no apparent dependency on other standard MIBs, being a self-contained vendor configuration schema. It is deployed on H3C routers and switches wherever administrators use time-based policies (e.g., business-hours-only ACLs) and want to confirm via SNMP that the intended schedule is configured as expected. Engineers can download the HH3C-TRNG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in HH3C-TRNG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- H3C routers
- H3C switches
Monitoring Examples
Without concrete sample object names available, a realistic use would be polling the time-range definition table to confirm a named time-range's configured start/end times and recurrence pattern match what was intended, and checking whether the range is currently considered active. This MIB is best understood as a configuration/provisioning module rather than one exposing rich runtime telemetry.
What Can Be Monitored
- configured time-range definitions
- time-range active/inactive state
- recurrence/periodic schedule settings
